Bicycle Trip in the Ping Valley #CNX-902
Discover the country and its people on two wheels. On this active one day tour you cycle across the countryside past villages, rice fields and plantations. The almost flat route (approx. 45 km) leads through the valley of the Ping River south of the northern capital.
Available as group- and private tour, minimum 2 persons, daily from/to Chiang Mai
Our local tour guide and driver will pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai at time 08.45. First you will get your bicycle and helmet. Then start cycling and leave the city.
First follow along the Ping River. See a colorful Chinese temple, fruit orchards, farmland and passing rural villages.
Stop also at Ban Tawai, a village famous for its woodcarving artisans.
Lunch at a local restaurant on route.
On your return to the city have a look to the temples and ruins of Wiang Khum Kam, the former Mon City of the 12th century. By late afternoon you will be back at the hotel.
Total cycling is approx. 45 km (mainly flat). Tour is available by joining the group only.
