Ayutthaya & Bang Pa-In #BKK-402
Day trip to Ayutthaya and Bang Pa-In, approx. 70 km north of Bangkok. The ruins from the old city of the former capital form the Ayutthaya Historical Park, that contains palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues. The park is on an island between 3 rivers. The Bang Pa-In Royal Palace is a palace complex beside the Chao Phraya River formerly used by Thai kings.
Available as a private tour, minimum 2 persons, daily from/to Bangkok
In morning at time 08.30 you will be picked up by the local tour guide and driver. Leave Bangkok in northern direction until you reach Bang Pa-In. Take a walk around the summer palace of King Rama V.
Afterwards take a long tail boat on the Chao Phraya River to Ayutthaya, the former and second Thai capital, which is a World Heritage of UNESCO since 1991.
Visit major sights, like Wat Panan-Cheong (built by King U-Thong of Ayutthaya and also contains a huge sitting Buddha), Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Phra Si Sanpetch (former palace of the King in Ayutthaya and was changed to temple by King Tri Lokanart).
Today's lunch will be on route at a local restaurant. Later return back to Bangkok and you will be back at the hotel by late afternoon.
