Phnom Penh - Battambang - Tonle Sap Lake - Angkor Wat - Siem Reap

Daily departure from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, minimum 2 persons, private tour

DAY 1 PHNOM PENH

Arrival in Phnom Penh. Here you are welcomed by a representative of our local partner agency. Then it is time for your transfer to the hotel in the city center. Day at leisure or take a walk to get some first impressions of the Cambodian capital.

DAY 2 PHNOM PENH B/L

Sightseeing tour in- and around the bustling capital, which does show you the major highlights. You will see the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the hill temple of Wat Phnom, which is the most important one for the locals, but also take a stroll over central market. Lunch on route at a local restaurant. A visit to Tuol Sleng (museum of genocide) and the Killing Fields outside the city can be included as well, if you wish to do so. Finally enjoy an approx. one hour sunset boat trip on the Mekong River. Overnight once more in Phnom Penh.

DAY 3 PHNOM PENH - BATTAMBANG B/L

Early morning travel in northern direction to Battambang. On route stop at some villages. Have your lunch break at a local restaurant. After arrival take a short tour in the city, which does also include a visit to the local market. Finally enjoy a ride through the rice fields on the unique bamboo train. This curious form of transport is only seen here in the Battambang area and still used by the farmers. Overnight in Battambang.

DAY 4 BATTAMBANG - SIEM REAP B/L

After breakfast you will leave Battambang and continue your journey towards Siem Reap. On route take a side trip and enjoy a boat trip on the Tonle Sap Lake. Visit one of the floating villages and observe the daily simple life of the fishing families out here. Lunch break will be at a local restaurant. Finally reach Siem Reap and do a short info tour in the city incl. a brief stop at a wood- and stone carving center. Then transfer to the hotel and some time to relax. In the evening take your chance for a walk over the night- and food market. Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 5 SIEM REAP B/L

In the morning pick up from the hotel. Today's tour in- and around Siem Reap will show you all major sights, such as Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, the giant stone face temple of Bayon, the atmospheric ruins of Ta Prohm, the Elephant Terrace etc. Have lunch at a local restaurant on route. Late in the afternoon return back to the hotel. Spend one more night in Siem Reap.

DAY 6 SIEM REAP B

Time at leisure or take a walk in the small city for some shopping. Then transfer to the airport and continue your journey...or extend your stay in Siem Reap, depend on your further schedule.

REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:

• Visa for Cambodia available on arrival in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap against a fee of US$ 30.- (bring passport pictures with you!).
• This tour can also be done vice versa with start in Siem Reap and end in Phnom Penh.
• Additional nights in Phnom Penh and/or Siem Reap can be booked with us.
