Hiking to the Lahu village #CNX-912
One day trek in the hills of Mae Taeng, located about 50 km north of Chiang Mai. Total hiking in the mountain wilderness will be about 5 hours including a break at a waterfall. On route enjoy the time at a Lahu hill tribe village, where you also take your lunch.
Available as a private tour, minimum 2 persons, daily from/to Chiang Mai
Our local tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Chiang Mai at time 08.00. Travel by pick up truck for about one hour.
Drive for about one hour in northern direction in to the Mae Taeng Valley.
Here start your trek through the mountain wilderness to the Lahu hill tribe village of Baan Huay Kub Kab, situated on a hill top with some great views. Join your tour guide in a local hut to prepare a simple, but tasty lunch. There is enough time to observe the culture and daily life of the Lahu people out here.
Afterwards trek down back to the valley until you reach a small waterfall. Time to relax and take a bath.
After another short walk the pick up truck is ready to bring you back to the hotel in Chiang Mai arrive there by early evening (the total hiking time is roughly 5 hours).
