DAY 1 PHNOM PENH
Arrival in Phnom Penh. Here you are welcomed by a representative of our local partner agency. Then it is time for your transfer to the hotel in the city center. Time at leisure or take a stroll to get some first impressions in the bustling Cambodia capital.
DAY 2 PHNOM PENH B/L
After breakfast you are picked up from the hotel by the driver and tour guide. Sightseeing tour in- and around the bustling capital, which will show you the the most important sights. You will see the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the hill top temple of Wat Phnom, which is the most important one here for the locals, but also take a walk over the colorful central market. Here you can observe the busy trading and selling of all kind of goods used in the daily life. An optional visit to Tuol Sleng (museum of genocide) and the Killing Fields outside the city can be included as well, if you wish to do so. Lunch break will be at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon you will be back at the hotel.
DAY 3 PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP B/L
In the morning start your tour in to northern direction towards Siem Reap. On route have some brief stops at local villages and lunch at a local restaurant. Just before reaching Siem Reap do a side trip to the Tonle Sap Lake. There you will enjoy a boat trip and visit one of the floating villages to get an impression about the daily life of these fishing people living in simple huts on the water. In the late afternoon finally you will arrive in Siem Reap. Take a quick look in to a wood- and stone carving center. Then transfer to the hotel. In the evening take the chance for a stroll over night market.
DAY 4 SIEM REAP B/L
After breakfast pick up from the hotel. Today's tour in- and around Siem Reap will show you all major sights, such as Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, the giant stone face temple of Bayon, the atmospheric ruins of Ta Prohm, the Elephant Terrace etc. Have lunch at a local restaurant on route. Transfer back to your hotel in the afternoon.
DAY 5 SIEM REAP B
Time at leisure or take a walk in the small city for some shopping. Then transfer to the airport and continue your journey...or extend your stay in Siem Reap, depend on your further schedule.
REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:
- Visa for Cambodia available on arrival in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap against a fee of US$ 30.- (bring passport pictures with you!).
- This tour can also be done vice versa with start in Siem Reap and end in Phnom Penh.
- Additional nights in Phnom Penh and/or Siem Reap can be booked with us.
