Elephant Retirement Park #CNX-923
Enjoy your day at a sanctuary for retired elephants, free to roam and graze on the surrounding vegetation. Walk, bathe and feed them. Elephant Retirement Park is a grassroots initiative whose mission is to provide a nurturing space for elephant.
Available by joining the small group, daily from/to Chiang Mai
Pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai by our local tour guide and driver will be at time 08.30-09.00. Then drive for about one hour to the village of Baan Eieag which is located in the Mae Taeng Disrict north of the northern capital.
After arrival get changed into change into traditional Northern Thailand mahout clothing and be ready for the fun activities. The experienced guide will provide information about the elephants' behavior and how to provide proper care for them.
Then, prepare food and healthy treats for the elephants and feed them afterwards
After that, you and the elephants will walk to play in the mud and sand spa. During this time, you will have a chance to observe their behavior, in beautiful natural surroundings.
After your time with the elephants, change your clothes, shower, and then enjoy a delicious traditional Thai buffet lunch, which is also suitable for vegetarians.
After some time to relax around the camp it is time for your transfer back to the hotel in Chiang Mai and you will arrive there in the late afternoon.
